filter.events is a search engine for public events. It continuously collects listings that Luma and Partiful publish openly, normalises them into one database, and lets you search across both platforms at once — either with conventional filters or by describing what you want in plain English.
Which platforms does it cover?
Luma (lu.ma) and Partiful. Both are indexed hourly, so a newly published event usually appears within the hour.
How does the natural-language search work?
You type something like “free tech networking events in San Francisco this weekend”. A language model converts that sentence into validated search filters — city, date range, price, format — and those filters run against the event database. The model never invents events; every result is a real listing. The interpreted filters are always shown so you can check them.
Is it free?
Yes. Browsing, searching and saving searches are free, and there is no paid tier. An account is needed to see the full catalogue and to save searches.
Do I need an account?
You can see live counts and a preview of upcoming events without one. The full index, filters, event details and natural-language search require a free account, by email or Google sign-in.
Does filter.events sell tickets?
No. It is an index, not a ticketing platform. Every listing links back to the organiser's own page on Luma or Partiful, where registration and payment happen under their terms.
How current is the event data?
The scraper runs hourly. Because listings are copied from third-party sites, always confirm the date, time, location and price on the organiser's page before travelling or paying.
